Meet Dr. Liz Black

Recently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Dr. Liz Black is known as one of New York’s most inspiring voices in gospel radio. She has been uplifting audiences for more than two decades as the host of the nationally syndicated Inspirations with Liz Black. Every Sunday morning at 7AM, she can also be heard live on 107.5 WBLS in New York City.
From 2006–2023, she was a beloved on-air personality at WLIB 1190 AM, and her voice continues to reach audiences across the country through radio and digital platforms.
Her career is filled with milestones — from hosting Gospel Amateur Night at the world-famous Apollo Theater, to lending her voice to BET’s Joyful Noise with Tye Tribbett, to winning top honors like the Stellar Award for Radio Personality of the Year and the Spin Award.

Dr. Black is also the CEO of Aspired Living Network TV (www.aspiredlivingnetworktv.com) and Aspired NYC Radio (www.aspirednycradio.com), two 24/7 inspirational media outlets under her Inspired Living Network LLC. In addition, she serves as CEO of the nonprofit Dr. Liz Black Community Impact, and as President of the NY/NJ Gospel Industry Network (GIN).
Through her nonprofit work, she continues to impact communities nationwide with coat drives, youth mentorship, and faith-based initiatives. Honored with two honorary doctorates, Dr. Liz Black continues to inspire, empower, and bring joy everywhere her voice is heard.
